Our evidence-based Little Surfers Program is designed to give young players the strongest possible foundation—not only in soccer, but also in lifelong athletic success. This 6-week development program meets on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 AM – 4x a year, with a special event in the summer. If registration numbers are high, a second session (10:00–11:00 AM) will be added, or an additional field will be secured so every child receives high-quality, individualized instruction.
Whether your child pursues competitive soccer or enjoys being active, Little Surfers is the perfect first step in their athletic journey—safe, fun, evidence-based, and designed for the whole child.
LEARNING THROUGH PLAY: EVIDENCE-BASED GFU’s
Our program uses age-appropriate, evidence-based Games for Understanding (GFUs) that help children learn soccer concepts through exploration and fun. Players develop:
- Basic ball control
- Early decision-making
- Teamwork and communication
- Creative problem-solving
- Confidence and enjoyment
GFUs keep sessions active, engaging, and developmentally aligned—ensuring learning happens naturally through play.
BUILDING THE FOUNDATION OF AN ATHLETE
Before children become soccer players, they must first become confident movers. Through developmentally appropriate movement activities, both with and without the ball, players build:
- Balance & coordination
- Agility & quickness
- Spatial awareness
- Body control
- Movement confidence
These fundamental skills support success in any sport and help children develop lifelong physical literacy.
